Vacancy
A "dummy" score is used when a team does not have the same number of bowlers as the other team does. The vacancy score is
set by the league and carries a handicap the same as if some bowler was carrying that average.
Washout
This is when a right-handed bowler leaves the 1, 2 & 10 pin or the 1, 2, 4 & 10 pin standing or a left-handed bowler leaves
the 1, 3 & 7 pin or the 1, 3, 6 & 7 pin standing. This is not considered a split because the 1 pin is still standing.
